The whole business in view.

Eight areas of work, used in whatever combination the situation calls for. Most engagements begin in one and quickly touch two or three, because that is how business problems behave.

Connected expertise

Finance shapes what strategy can afford. Process decides whether good people look good. Technology shows you what is happening, once someone has agreed what should happen.

01

Business Advisory

The list of things worth doing is longer than the capacity to do them, and every option sounds reasonable in the meeting.

We sit with the numbers, the operating reality and the leadership team, then work out which two or three decisions actually change the shape of the year. Sometimes that means rethinking the business model or the customer mix. Sometimes it means restructuring before growing. The work ends with priorities people agree on and can act on.

  • Business diagnostics
  • Business model and profitability review
  • Priority setting with leadership
  • Restructuring and turnaround planning
  • Expansion and investment decisions
02

Finance

The profit and loss says one thing. The bank balance says another. Nobody is quite sure which number to believe.

Bookkeeping is a means, not the point. The point is knowing where money is genuinely made and where it quietly leaks, how much cash the next quarter needs, and what the business can safely commit to. We build reporting an owner will actually read, then use it for the decisions that follow.

  • Management reporting founders will read
  • Cash flow and working capital planning
  • Product, customer and channel profitability
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • CFO advisory and finance team support
03

Tax

Tax gets attention close to the deadline, which is the most expensive moment to start thinking about it.

We help management understand its obligations early, keep records and processes in order through the year, and take commercial decisions with the tax position already considered rather than discovered afterwards. Specialist filings and formal opinions are coordinated with qualified professionals where required.

  • Obligation mapping and calendars
  • Tax planning support for business decisions
  • Compliance process reviews
  • Record and documentation readiness
  • Coordination with tax specialists
04

Performance

The monthly review has forty slides, a lot of commentary and very few decisions.

Strategy becomes real when someone owns a number and meets to discuss what they will do about it. We narrow measurement to the handful of indicators that lead to action, attach each one to a person, and set a review rhythm that produces decisions rather than presentations. More metrics are not automatically better management.

  • KPI and KRA design
  • Ownership and accountability mapping
  • Management review rhythm
  • Dashboards built around decisions
  • Performance conversations and follow-through
05

Systems & Processes

The work gets done because certain people remember how. When they are away, it slows down.

We map how work actually moves, not how the org chart says it should, and fix the places where it stalls: unclear handoffs, missing information, approvals that sit with one person. The documents we leave behind are short enough to be used, and the controls are proportionate to the risk they cover.

  • Process mapping and handoff design
  • SOPs written for the people doing the work
  • Role and decision rights clarity
  • Internal controls and approvals
  • Process standardisation across locations or teams
06

Technology Consulting

Everyone agrees the business needs better systems. Nobody agrees on what the system is supposed to fix.

We start with the business problem, not the software shortlist. That means settling process, ownership and master data before selection, choosing a platform sized to the business rather than to ambition, and making sure the reporting that comes out of it is the reporting management will use. Buying software before agreeing the process usually digitises the confusion.

  • ERP selection and implementation advisory
  • Process digitisation and automation
  • Master data and reporting design
  • Management dashboards and data visibility
  • Systems integration and technology roadmap
07

Growth

A new market, product or location is on the table. The question is whether the business is ready to carry it.

Growth tests whatever is already weak. We look at unit economics, cash, leadership bandwidth, process maturity and reporting before the commitment is made, then build the plan around what the organisation can genuinely absorb. More revenue is not automatically healthier growth.

  • Scale and expansion readiness reviews
  • Unit economics and pricing analysis
  • Market and product entry planning
  • Organisation design for the next stage
  • Investment readiness support
08

Academy

The team attended a good workshop. Six weeks later nothing about the working week had changed.

We build capability around the work people already do: reading numbers, running a review, holding a performance conversation, improving a process they own. Sessions are short, practical and followed up, because training that does not change behaviour is a pleasant day out.

  • Finance for non-finance managers
  • Leadership and delegation practice
  • Running effective management reviews
  • Process improvement for operating teams
  • Programmes designed around live business issues
